Non-Hazardous Waste Disposal Facility
Geostroy AD completed Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the project Non-Hazardous Waste Disposal Facility – Phosphogypsum at Agropolychim AD.
Phase 1 includes the construction of Cell No. 6, a collection basin, and all related technical and technological infrastructure. Cell No. 6 covers an area of 110,000 m².
Phase 1 also comprises the construction of a 700-m retaining wall to protect the Kitka-Varna water supply pipeline. Phase 2 covers the construction of Cell No. 5 with all related technical and technological infrastructure. Cell No. 5 has an area of 130,000 m².
For the entire project, Geostroy AD has executed more than 900,000 m3 of excavation works. The two cells are surrounded by protective dykes made of 200,000 m3 of blasted rock. Construction of a 6,000-metre drainage system is envisaged on the site.
